ABOUT ME

I am currently studying Costume with Textiles at the University of Huddersfield. During my time at uni I have accquired various pattern cutting skills such as cutting on the stand and manipulating flat patterns. I have also gained valuble embroidery techniques as well as improving my sewing skills.

My course entails me to design costumes as well as making them and creating textiles for these costumes.

I can confidently use industrial and domestic sewing machines and I am also trained to use Design Shop and Amaya embroidery machines.

As well as embroidery techniques such as goldwork and cording, I am confident in screen printing and dye sublimation, as well as disperse dying and hot water dying.

Although I am studying in Huddersfield, I am originally from North London. Due to this, I have become an avid theatre-goer over the years and it is here where I developed my passion for costume.

In my spare time I create one-off paintings and sewing projects such as bags and purses. I also enjoy creating nail art and run a small business offering manicures or gels with or without nail art.
